Andrew Ferenci is director of product development at Buddy Media and was previously the co-founder and CEO of Spinback, a social commerce and analytics platform that was acquired by Buddy Media in May of 2011.
Spinback created the first social analytics platform that allowed ecommerce retailers to track and guide conversions and ROI from social sharing across the web.
In April 2011, Forrester Research featured Spinback in their eBusiness report as having the greatest value to large retailers to extract trends and identify influencers.
Andrew is a serial entrepreneur who has co-founded and exited two successful internet-based ecommerce companies. He has a passion for building usable and elegant products that leverage social data and actionable intelligence.
In the past, Andrew founded several other ventures, including MisoTrendy.com, NYCRandom.ly, and TheCollegeShack.com, which was acquired by Carolina Beach Apparel in 2010.
As director of product development at Buddy Media, Andrew leads a team of product innovators who are consistently enhancing Buddy Media’s product suite and developing new products to bring to market.
Andrew attended Boston University and graduated from The Business School at the University of Wisconsin in 2009, concentrating in entrepreneurship, real estate, and urban land economics.
In 2008, Andrew received the Weinert Center Entrepreneurship Award, given to Wisconsin students pursuing entrepreneurial ventures. In 2011, Andrew was named on Business Insider’s list of the Top 25 Most Influential People in New York Tech.
Andrew was born in Philadelphia and raised in Minneapolis. He loves to travel, enjoys creating graffiti art and is an avid skier and snowboarder.
